Batteries
The battery is the power source of your vape kit. No matter whether you’re using a pocket-friendly vape pen or a power-hungry box mod, batteries are one of the most important parts of your vape kit. Batteries send power to your coils and heat them up, warming the e-liquid saturated in the wick and turning it into delicious vapour for you to inhale. There are two different types of battery that your e-cig may use: built-in and external batteries.
Built-in batteries
Some vapes will come with a battery built in. These tend to be smaller, less powerful vapes, and the battery cannot be removed or replaced. Vapes with an in-built battery are charged using a USB-C connection and it’s possible to use your vape while it’s on charge. When the battery eventually dies, you’ll need to replace the vape.
External or removable batteries
More powerful vape mods will often include a removable battery (some of the most powerful ones will have dual batteries). As the name suggests, these can be removed from the device for charging – some vapers will buy multiple sets of batteries so they can alternate the ones charging and in use. These batteries are often 18650 or 21700 batteries, which are rechargeable lithium ion (Li-ion) cells.
Chargers
If your kit uses a built-in battery, you’ll need a USB type-C charging cable to power up your vape. For external battery mods, an external charger is essential. These wall chargers can charge multiple batteries at a time and can offer features such as intelligent or fast charging.
Tank glass
If you’ve broken the glass on your vape tank it’s vital that you replace it. Broken tank glass can lead to e-liquid leakage or other problems with your vape. Fortunately, tank glass is easy to replace and will look as good as new once it has been changed.
Adapters
One accessory that some vapers might need is a 510 adapter. If your box mod doesn’t use the standard 510 thread connection, an adapter allows you to make it compatible with a wider range of tanks.
